Thursday, October 25, 2018

The Human Resources Department is coordinating a flu shot clinic. Immunizations will be administered from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Cone University Center, Lucas Room.

Employees and family members, age 4 and older, who are covered by the State Health Plan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) or other eligible plans can participate in these free clinics.

Children between the ages of 4 and 17 must have parents with them. Children under age 4 must receive shots from their primary care physician.

Employees and their family members who are not covered by an eligible plan can obtain a flu shot for $30.

Pregnant women at any stage may receive the flu shot without a prescription.

Flu shot clinic attendees are required to bring their current health insurance card and a photo ID to the clinic. They also will have to sign a consent form prior to receiving the inoculation.

Employees who do not have their health insurance cards will have to pay $30 and can file a claim for potential reimbursement.
