AlumNiner Weekend provides opportunities to celebrate, reconnect

The UNC Charlotte Alumni Association will host its annual AlumNiner Weekend, Friday and Saturday, April 20-21. Open to all friends and alumni of the University, the weekend will offer a notable lineup of events for all.

The Alumni Awards Celebration is scheduled for 11 a.m., April 20, at the Hilton Charlotte Center City. Celebrate this year’s award recipients for their outstanding service to the University, their profession or to society.

At 2 p.m., Friday, the College of Health and Human Services will observe the 50th anniversary of the School of Nursing; the Honors College’s 50th anniversary celebration will be at 3 p.m. in Levine Hall.

This year’s Green Tie Gala: Triple Crown is set for 7 p.m., April 20, at the Hilton Charlotte Center City. Attendees are encouraged to don their best Kentucky Derby-style hat for this event, which will raise funds for need-based scholarships. Click here to purchase a ticket and for more information.

On the schedule for Saturday, April 21, are Lunch with Chancellor Dubois, the Half-Century Society Induction and the Alumni Tailgate Village and Spring Football Game.
