Chancellor Philip L. Dubois recently welcomed Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles to campus. The two leaders discussed collaborative opportunities around light rail, economic development and growing talent in the Charlotte region.

While this was Lyle’s first visit as mayor of Charlotte, she has a strong, long-standing relationship with the University given her four years on the City Council, a 30-year career in city government and her work as a consulting director with The Lee Institute, where she facilitated the football feasibility study for UNC Charlotte.
