Call for faculty-submitted research projects

Tuesday, January 2, 2018

Faculty members are encouraged to participate in the 2018 Charlotte Research Scholars program (CRS). The program, sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs, the Charlotte Research Institute, the Duke Endowment Special Initiatives Fund and the Graduate School, provides funding to approximately 50 UNC Charlotte students to participate in a mentored, 10-week summer research experience.

CRS students are matched with an appropriate mentor for the program; faculty who wish to be included on the list of possible mentors should email a project title and short abstract to Nathan Fried (nmfried@uncc.edu) by Friday, Jan. 12. (Fried can email interested faculty the submission form.)

Prospective scholar applications will be accepted between Feb. 2-23; this year’s summer program is scheduled for May 21 through July 27. Undergraduates who will return in fall 2018 with at least a junior standing and a minimum 2.8 GPA are eligible to apply.
