Conrad to talk threat assessment for Great Decisions

Justin Conrad from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration will discuss threat assessment at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22, as part of the Great Decisions Lecture Series. His talk will be at UNC Charlotte Center City, Room 204.

Conrad, who joined the University in fall 2011, received bachelor's and doctoral degrees from Florida State University and a master's degree from UCLA. His research addresses a number of areas related to international security, including interstate conflict and terrorism.

Presentations and discussion topics for the 2013 Great Decisions Lecture Series are selected by the Foreign Policy Association. The series is sponsored by the Office of International Programs and coordinated in partnership with Charlotte Country Day School and the World Affairs Council of Charlotte.

The entire series, which is free and open to the public, will feature presentations on Tuesdays through Feb. 19.

Brett Tempest from the Lee College of Engineering and Eddy Souffrant from the Philosophy Department will deliver the third talk on Feb. 5; the topic is humanitarian intervention.
