The University Career Center will hold its annual Mock Interview Day on Friday, Feb. 1. Interviews will occur throughout the day.
Mock Interview Day provides an excellent opportunity for students to practice their interviewing skills with experienced professionals from the Charlotte business community. Students will have a better understanding of the preparation needed to have a successful interview, which could give them a job-search skill boost in a tight economy. Representatives from a record number of organizations are scheduled to conduct mock interviews, including Bank of America, Verizon and Duke Energy.
Mock interviews are open only to UNC Charlotte students. Even though the interviews are for practice purposes, students are required to dress professionally and encouraged to research the company and prepare appropriately for the interview. Mock interviews sometimes lead to real interviews, according to Career Center officials. Sign-ups are open now through the NinerJobNet database at the University Career Center’s website.
