Screening of ‘A Separation’ part of International Education Week

The Iranian Student Organization is sponsoring a screening of the Oscar-winning film “A Separation” at 6 p.m., Monday, Nov. 12, in the Student Union Movie Theater.

According to organizers, this acclaimed film is significant because it provides an accurate depiction of Iranian culture, traditions and values. Considered one of the best movies of Iranian cinema, “A Separation” focuses on universal values of responsibility, love and sacrifice.

The Iranian Student Organization is designed to bring together students to understand and celebrate the Iranian society and to promote an understanding and appreciation for Persian culture and art, as well as to sponsor educational and social events.

International Education Week, Nov. 12-17, is an annual observance featuring a variety of events that remind the community of the impact that universities have in shaping the global village. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to explore education abroad opportunities connect with international students in the classroom and enjoy the richness of the international programming on campus.
