General to give International Speaker Series talk

Brigadier General Thomas Gorry will speak at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8 in the J. Murrey Atkins Library, Halton Reading Room.

Gorry will discuss the role of the United States Marine Corps in supporting America's national security strategies from a global perspective.  Currently, he serves as the commanding general of the Marine Corps Base at Camp Lejeune. His nearly 30-year military career includes his most recent assignment as the director of command and staff college of Marine Corps University.

The International Speaker Series is presented by UNC Charlotte’s Office of International Programs; the Department of Global, International and Area Studies; and Atkins Library. Faculty are encouraged to reserve space to attend with their classes and/or arrange for an extra-credit sign-in sheet for students by emailing international@uncc.edu.
