The Theatre Department here on campus is staging Dominique Morrisseau's fantastic play, DETROIT '67 in a few weeks, and we are seeking set dressing/decor specific to the 1960s. Things like old 45 records, macarame art, rock-n-roll/black power posters, 8-track tapes, a crocheted blanket ... anything that MIGHT be in a basement "rec room" of an African-American family in 1967 in Detroit...
The one super-specific furniture item I am still looking for is an old cabinet-style console stereo. Doesn't have to work, (though it'd be cool if it did). Such an item could be a borrow, treated very nicely, and returned to you.
Can't easily pay (unless you're an approved vendor to the university), but happy to swap for free theatre tickets to see the show.
Please feel free to get in touch. My name is Tom Burch, and my email is email@example.com
