The 2018 Undergraduate Research Conference will be Friday, April 20, in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center.
This conference is a university-wide showcase of research projects completed by undergraduate students of all levels from all colleges and departments.
A new reception-style event, scheduled for 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, in the Popp Martin Student Union, will recognize the 2018 Employee of the Year recipients and nominees and those who have achieved a five-year milestone level of service.
As part of the University’s Staff Recognition events, third-shift employees can gather at the Popp Martin Student Union Rotunda starting at 11:30 p.m., Monday, March 26, for “Midnight Appreciation.” Attendees will receive a free, boxed meal.
The Human Resources Department will host “What Women Need to Know about Social Security” from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, March 19, in the Colvard Building, Room 5092.
Representatives from the Social Security Administration will be on campus to explain the financial benefits, tools and information available to women to help them plan for the future.

Sidewalks between Atkins Library and the Kennedy Building will be closed intermittently through March 28 for underground utility installation associated with the Belk Plaza renovation project.
Robert D. Snyder Road will be closed at J.W. Clay Boulevard between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Saturday, March 10, for paving of ADA-accessible crosswalks. The Niner Transit Silver Line bus stop at CRI Deck 1 also will be closed for this work.
