Kathryn Horne, director of facilities planning, has been appointed interim associate vice chancellor for facilities management. She succeeds Phil Jones, who is retiring after more than 17 years of service.

Faculty NinerNET credentials are now active for 150 days, an increase from 120 days, after the contract end date. This will benefit part-time faculty members who teach one semester but not the next. Direct questions to the IT Service Desk at 704-687-5500.
Construction has started on an entrance feature for the Charlotte Research Institute near the intersection of Institute Circle and N. Tryon Street. This feature will be similar to, but smaller than, the entrance at University City Boulevard (Dickson Gate).
Each year, UNC Charlotte sponsors select employees to attend the five-day Leadership Development Program in Greensboro, North Carolina. Applications for next year’s program will be accepted from Aug. 10 to Sept. 30, 2018.
