Join UNC Charlotte Professor of History Karen Cox at 6:30 p.m., March 13, at UNC Charlotte Center City, as she leads a discussion on the history, controversy and future of Civil War memorials in a panel presentation, "Commemorating the Confederacy: History, Memory and Meaning in the 21st Century South." Scholars William Sturkey, assistant professor of history at UNC Chapel Hill, and Hilary Green, associate professor of history at the University of Alabama, will participate in this panel.
