The Charlotte 49ers Athletic Foundation will host the 36th annual Great Gold Rush Auction, Saturday, June 1, in Halton Arena, located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. The event begins with a silent auction at 5:30 p.m. The live auction begins at 8:30 p.m. on arena floor. A food extravaganza will be available throughout the evening. Admission is $125 per person. A table of 10 can be purchased for $1,250.
All proceeds from the event support the 49ers athletic scholarship fund.
The Great Gold Rush Auction is the foundation's largest single-day fundraiser. More than 500 attendees are expected to bid on 900-plus items valued in excess of $225,000 including getaway vacations, electronics, restaurant certificates, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, sports memorabilia, artwork and furniture.
