Along with the rest of the world, I am seeing the recent reports and tragic news about the violence in the Middle East. The recent events have undoubtedly had a profound impact on many lives, and I can only imagine the emotions and concerns many of you may be experiencing.
Once a UNC Charlotte student and currently a senior lecturer in the Department of Languages and Culture Studies, Susana Cisneros ’09 M.A. often rides the light rail between campus and home. In this one small area, people from different walks of life huddle to reach their same destinations in pursuit of their individual journeys.
UNC Charlotte has received the 2023 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine. Why did you choose UNC Charlotte?
Carmen Neely ’12 completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting at UNC Charlotte and within five years, she he was giving solo gallery exhibitions in major U.S. cities like New York and Miami. Since then, she has added Chicago, where she currently lives, Paris and Düsseldorf, Germany, to the growing list.
A team of researchers led by UNC Charlotte is working to build a more secure and reliable power grid, thanks to funding through the UNC System Research Opportunities Initiative.
