Effective June 1, University Policy 707, Smoking and Use of Tobacco Products, has been revised by adding a new defined term, “tobacco product,” which means a cigarette, a cigar, chewing tobacco, vapor product or any other product that contains tobacco and is intended for inhalation, oral use or nasal use.

Recently, Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) officials conducted the first “live wire” test of the Blue Line Extension.
The overhead catenary system that powers the light rail trains was energized, and trains ran on their own power at about 10 miles per hour from the North Yard facility to the Old Concord Road bridge.
