Annual Chancellor’s Reception set for Oct. 18

The Chancellor’s Reception, held as part of the annual Staff Recognition Celebration, will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, in the Student Union Multipurpose Room. Each year, Chancellor Philip L. Dubois hosts this event in appreciation of staff and faculty.

This event is in conjunction with the Levine Museum of the New South and its exhibit of photographs, postcards and narrative that explores one of the most horrific chapters of history.

Friday Night Live comedy series to present ‘Shaking Not Stirred’

Stand-up comedians Will Marfori and Samuel Comroe will bring their unique brands of humor to UNC Charlotte at 7 p.m., Oct. 12, in Cone University Center, After Hours Lounge.

Their free, public performance, billed as “Shaking Not Stirred,” is co-sponsored by Niners on the Weekend (NOW), Campus Activities Board (CAB) and the Office of Disability Services.


Women of Color conversations to start Friday, continue throughout the year
