The Power of UNC Charlotte displayed for UNC Leadership

Chancellor Dubois leads a campus bus tour for members of the UNC Board of Governors

New members of the UNC Board of Governors and UNC system President Margaret Spellings saw the University’s robust opportunities firsthand Friday, Sept. 22, during a campus visit. The itinerary included a Niner Transit bus tour guided by Chancellor Philip Dubois, a walk through the Duke Energy Smart Grid Laboratory and a luncheon featuring remarks from a group of students.

In the Duke Energy Smart Grid lab, board members witnessed the power of the University’s industry partnerships evident in the state‐of‐the‐art facility designed to perform advanced testing and evaluation of smart grid enabling technologies and energy systems.

Following the tour, board members met with students, faculty members and University administrators to learn about UNC Charlotte's vibrant student experiences and growing catalog of programs and initiatives.
