Niner Transit takes over summer service, enhanced service begins this fall

Wednesday, August 2, 2017

UNC Charlotte’s all-new Niner Transit system has taken over the regularly scheduled summer service. The buses are operated by Academy and managed by Parking and Transportation Services (PaTS).

Beginning Aug. 21, the Niner Transit fleet will offer enhanced service, with more, larger buses running every day until 2:30 a.m., except holidays when the University is closed.

The Gold Line will connect South Village and the Foundation Building to central campus; the Green Line will loop from North Deck through central campus to South Village; and the Silver Line will run cross-campus from Lot 6 at John Kirk Road to CRI campus.

As always, use of the bus system is fare-free for faculty, staff and students.
