The Ketie Memory Jones Memorial Art Award was featured on WFAE, Charlotte’s NPR news source on Friday, June 30.
The endowed scholarship at UNC Charlotte was created by the family and friends of Jones, who was shot and killed Oct. 15, 2016, walking home after a night out with friends in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. To honor of her memory, her passion for the arts and her love for Charlotte and her community, the endowed scholarship at UNC Charlotte will help Charlotte-Mecklenburg School students with financial need.
Donations are still being accepted to the Ketie Memory Jones Memorial Art Award.
