UNC Charlotte employees interested in the Janet Royster Memorial Staff Scholarship have until Monday, May 1, to submit an application for fall 2017. This scholarship is designed to help a UNC system employee become more effective in either the applicant’s current position or prepare the applicant for promotion with the UNC system.
The Royster Memorial Staff Scholarship was created in August of 2011 by the UNC Staff Assembly in memory of UNC-TV employee Janet B. Royster; she represented UNC-TV on the General Administration Staff Forum and was subsequently elected to the UNC Staff Assembly. She served as its first Parliamentarian until her untimely death in June 2011.
