Sallie Hutton Sistare will join UNC Charlotte as executive director of alumni relations in the Division of University Advancement, effective May 30.
Niles Sorensen, vice chancellor for University Advancement, in announcing the appointment, stated, “Sallie Sistare has broad experience in alumni relations with a proven track record for developing programming that enhances graduates’ engagement with their alma maters. I know she and her family are eager to join Niner Nation.”
A graduate of Elon University, Sistare currently is executive director of alumni affairs at the Medical University of South Carolina. Previously, she was a leadership giving officer and director of alumni engagement at Elon University. She began her career on the staff of the General Alumni Association of UNC Chapel Hill.
As executive director of alumni relations, Sistare will provide strategic vision to define and implement best practices that engage UNC Charlotte alumni in lifelong, progressive relationships with the University.
