The UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens will host its first family event of the year, “Wild for Wildflowers,” on Saturday, April 1.

Starting at 10 a.m. in the McMillan Greenhouse, children ages 5 to 11 (accompanied by an adult) will journey through the Van Landingham Glen, exploring six wildflowers native to North Carolina.

As part of the festivities, there will be a balloon artist, a mini-fairy garden project and a pollinator "toss" (corn hole).

Tickets are $6 per child (free for the accompanying adult) and can be purchased online or at the door.
