CUNY-Brooklyn professor to talk Muslim Americans and President Trump

Moustafa Bayoumi, associate professor of English at CUNY-Brooklyn, will present “This Muslim American Life in the Age of Donald Trump” at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 23, at UNC Charlotte Center City.

An accomplished journalist, Bayoumi also is a columnist for The Guardian, and his writing has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, New York Magazine, The National, CNN.com, The London Review of Books, The Nation, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Progressive and other places.

He has written a number of books on the Muslim-American experience, most recently “This Muslim American Life:  Dispatches from the War on Terror.”

The UNC Charlotte Center for Professional & Applied Ethics is cosponsoring this free, public event; RSVPs requested by Friday, March 17. The Chancellor’s Diversity Challenge Fund and College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Speaker Funds are cosponsors.
