The Center for Teaching and Learning will offer monthly webinars on topics from its “Students’ Pathway to Success: A Faculty Guide.” This resource was written collaboratively by the Top 40 Academy, a faculty professional learning community.

Delane Ingalls Vanada, assistant professor of art education and visual studies, will be the first presenter in this new webinar series. She will discuss “Learner-centered Strategies,” starting at noon, Friday, Dec. 2. This 20-minute presentation will illustrate alternatives to traditional college lecturing. A question-and-answer session will follow. Register to view.

Topics for future monthly webinars include “Constructing a Course Syllabus” (January), “Promoting Civility and Professionalism in the Classroom” (February), “Learning How to Learn: Basic Skills, Making Connections and Self-direction” (March) and “Diversity, Inclusion and Cultural Awareness” (April). Each webinar will be posted to the CTL calendar.
