Gov. Pat McCrory has designated May 2016 as “Internal Audit Month” in North Carolina in a proclamation signed April 25.
The governor’s recognition of the internal audit profession and its contributions to the state complement the activities taking place across North Carolina as audit professionals highlight their role protecting organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice and insight.
UNC Charlotte’s Internal Audit Department is a member of the Association of College and University Auditors as well as the University of North Carolina Auditors Association, the national and state professional organizations of audit professionals focused on advancing internal auditing and related activities in higher education.
