Broadcast communications to air 10 fall sporting events on Channel 22

The Charlotte 49ers and UNC Charlotte Cable Television are partnering to broadcast 10 fall sporting events that will reach 500,000-plus subscribers to Time Warner Cable and AT&T UVerse in the Charlotte region.

Men’s soccer will have four home matches broadcast; while women’s soccer and volleyball will each have three.

On campus and in Mecklenburg, Union and Iredell counties, these broadcasts will be on Time Warner Cable Channel 22.

The Broadcast Communications Department, part of the Office of University Communications, provides television and video production services to the campus community. The department is responsible for the operation of the University’s cable TV Channel 22.

Games aired on Channel 22 will be a simulcast with Charlotte 49ers TV (http://www.charlotte49ers.tv).

More athletic events may be added in the fall with airing of winter and spring sports planned for the 2015-16 season.

The first broadcast in this partnership will be Friday night as the women’s volleyball team hosts rival Davidson at 7 p.m. in Halton Arena.

5:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 11 – Women’s Soccer vs. South Florida

6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 21 – Volleyball vs. UTEP*

6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 1 – Volleyball vs. Southern Miss*

7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6 – Men’s Soccer vs. Clemson

7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 9 – Women’s Soccer vs. North Texas*

1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 11 – Women’s Soccer vs. Rice*

7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20 – Men’s Soccer vs. Virginia Tech

7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23 – Men’s Soccer vs. South Carolina*

7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 31 – Men’s Soccer vs. Kentucky*
