Psychology professor Paula Goolkasian recently received the Distinguished Alumna Award from Iowa State University’s Department of Psychology.
Goolkasian, who earned a master’s and doctorate in psychology from Iowa State, also is director of cognitive sciences and a member of the Health Psychology Ph.D. Program at UNC Charlotte. Her research interests are in the area of perception and attention, and she has authored more than 80 research articles and presentations.
Currently, she is an executive editor of the Journal of General Psychology and is on the editorial board of the American Journal of Psychology and PsycCRITIQUES.
