The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Women’s Summit at UNC Charlotte, in collaboration with the Domestic Violence Advocacy Council, the League of Women Voters and United Family Services, will sponsor a Judicial Candidates Forum from noon to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2, at UNC Charlotte Center City.
Hosted by WSOC TV Channel 9’s Erica Bryant and moderated by UNC Charlotte professor of criminal justice Jennifer Hartman, the forum will provide an opportunity to explore the education, training and experience of the 2012 judicial candidates.
“This discussion provides a unique opportunity for voters to learn about the candidate’s experience specifically related to domestic violence cases and matters of diversity and inclusion in the courtroom,” said Women’s Summit co-director Lisa Yarrow.
This event is free and open to the public.
