UNC Charlotte kicked off its inaugural football season on Aug. 31, 2013, and this site provides some helpful information for faculty, staff, students and visitors to make the most of game day Saturdays.
Game day parking requires a permit. Campus entrances will be closed five hours to kickoff, with the exception of the main entrance and the entrance off John Kirk Drive. Signs will be placed in all tailgating lots and parking decks to direct those attending the game. Click to read more information about game day parking.
Single game tickets will be extremely limited. The McColl-Richardson Field ticket office will open two hours prior to kick-off for walk-up sales and "will call" ticket distribution. A valid photo ID is required to pick up tickets. Gates to the stadium will open 90 minutes prior to kick-off. Click here for more information about tickets.
One definition of tailgating is a balance between fandom and celebration; it often is an event that unites sports, food and drink and frivolity. UNC Charlotte wants its fans to have an enjoyable experience during their attendance; however, the University does have a tailgating policy designed to enhance the safety and comfort of visitors.
