UNC Charlotte is preparing to update its Campus Sustainability Plan in 2017-18. The first step is to identify the University’s top goals as a framework for detailed recommendations and timelines.
The Sustainability Office is holding a series of workshops and online surveys to enable members of the campus community to provide input.
The workshop “Transporting People and Goods” is scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340.
The University depends on its ability to transport people, goods and associated services to and across the campus. Transport via motor vehicles also impacts health, safety and the environment. Transportation choices and needs are growing and changing, with potential benefits to the cost of running a campus and attending college. Workshop attendees are invited to share their understanding of these issues.
