Location:

UNC Charlotte is preparing to update its Campus Sustainability Plan in 2017-18. The first step is to identify the University’s top goals as a framework for detailed recommendations and timelines.

The Sustainability Office is holding a series of workshops and online surveys to enable members of the campus community to provide input.

The workshop “Engaging Teaching, Learning and Scholarship” will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 26, in the Cone University Center, Room 113.

A University provides educational opportunities, educated citizens and scholarship that advances human endeavors that enable the creation and maintenance of a sustainable civilization; one that balances social, economic and environmental concerns. Sustainability could be a basis for new or updated curricula and research opportunities and could provide extracurricular activities that address the campus, city and region. Workshop attendees are invited to share their understanding of these issues.
