Location:

UNC Charlotte is preparing to update its Campus Sustainability Plan in 2017-18. The first step is to identify the University’s top goals as a framework for detailed recommendations and timelines.

The Sustainability Office is holding a series of workshops and online surveys to enable members of the campus community to provide input.

The workshop “Consuming Materials, Water and Energy” will be from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, in the Popp Martin Student Union, Room 340.

Materials and energy consumed on a college campus can have environmental and social impacts stemming from the harvesting of raw materials, processing in factories, shipping, etc. Sourcing choices and efficiencies for use of materials, water and energy can achieve economic benefits for the University. Workshop attendees are invited to share their understanding of these issues.
