The City of Charlotte’s Community Engagement Division will host a pre-application workshop/information session regarding tree banding at 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 15, at the Old City Hall (600 E. Trade St.).
The City of Charlotte is asking citizens to help control the cankerworm population by banding trees in their communities. Through the City of Charlotte’s Neighborhood Matching Grants Fund, neighborhood organizations can apply for up to $3,000 to assist with banding trees in their community, including those located on private property.
